Paths of Creativity

The National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus Main building

On July 20 at 17.00 the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus will open a personal exhibition of paintings by Anna Sadovskaya titled “Paths of Creativity”.

Anna Sadovskaya belongs to the younger generation of the Belarusian school of landscape painting. Anna's works are characterised by their harmonious colour scheme, panoramic diversity, lyricism, naturalness and spirituality in the depiction of her native land. Such a choice of pictorial language is due to the established traditions of the national landscape school as well as the experience of plein-air practices: it is thanks to her constant participation in seasonal plein-airs that the artist’s landscapes are exceptionally naturalistic. In the works presented at the exhibition, Belarusian nature exists as a self-sufficient whole, as an object of primeval beauty.

Anna Sadovskaya was born in 1997 in Minsk. In 2021 she graduated from the Belarusian State Academy of Arts (department of easel painting).Master of Art History (Institute for the Training of Scientific Personnel of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, 2022). Currently doing postgraduate studies in art history at the Centre for Studies of Belarusian Culture, Language and Literature of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.

Since 2014, she has been a constant participant of exhibitions both in Belarus and abroad. Anna Sadovskaya’s works are in private collections in Belarus, Russia, China and other countries.

The exposition presents about 30 recent works of the artist created mainly in the open air.
