The exhibition “Orthodox Icons of Russia, the Ukraine, and Belarus” takes place at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus from September, 30 till November, 9.

The exhibition “Orthodox Icons of Russia, the Ukraine, and Belarus” is timed to the important event – 1020 years of the Christianization of Kievan Rus’. Opening of this exhibition is especially important for Belarus, because it concurs with the 30th anniversary of the pastor’s service to the Church of the High Right Reverend Filaret, Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk, Patriarch’s Exarch of All Belarus on the land of Belaya Rus’.
The exhibition of icons from Russia, the Ukraine, and Belarus is the most significant event in recent years; it is a symbolic event of modern history. It indicates the aspiration for more profound research of the spiritual and art heritage of the age-old orthodox Slavic culture.
