MAGIC OF COLOUR

That artist is happy, who can impart knowledge and mastery to his apprentices not concealing author’s methods and secrets that once have helped him to become a master. It is beyond belief that a child at the age of 6 – 7 years with a sparkle of talent in his heart can become a real partner and a like-minded person for an adult mature artist. When a teacher endows children with new knowledge the children in response refresh forgotten feelings and emotions in master’s soul. They inspire him for new courageous experiments. Pedagogical conception of Yevgeny Sakovich, deputy director of Minsk State College of Arts, is based just on such warm partnership. The exhibition is organized in honor of the 35th anniversary of the College.
Children works can not leave adults indifferent. A child draws with all his soul listening only to his small and timid heart as opposed to a mature artist who sometimes doesn’t hear his soul in pursuit for original ideas. It’s not necessary for a child to prove anything to anybody. He just likes drawing and tries to do it better and better with all his sincerity and persistence. He wants all of us – mothers, fathers, people, who come at the exhibition, – smile and feel ourselves happier.
Yevgeny Sakovich is a master of lyrical landscape. When you see his watercolours, you feel the sun cherishing your soul, your lungs being filled with fresh forest air. Pictures of this painter have a wonderful capacity to become very dear. They initiate their poetic dialogue with the spectator’s heart, guessing his/her mood and creating sweet feeling of warmth and rest.
This exhibition presents watercolours of the painter and pedagogue Yevgeny Sakovich and works of his young talented pupils: Veronika Osipova, Lera Krasnova, Pavel Yaroshuk, Maksim Shnip, Pati Moskalevich, Anton Rubashko, Nadezhda Zavadskaya, Andrei Strotsev, Lera Mankevich and Ilya Dubovsky.
