The opening of the exhibition project ‘Time of Cyclones. The Painting and Graphics by Halina Niachajeva’ will take place at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus on December 22, 2021.

It is coincided with the author’s anniversary. The exhibition presents the works of painting, graphics, poetry collections, art history monographs, diaries and sketches, as well as Vetka icons which are an essential part of Halina Niachajeva’s activities on collecting museum treasures.

Halina Niachajeva (born in 1951) is a recognized and an authoritative researcher of the Old Believers, the traditional culture (semiotics of Belarusian ornament) and Honored Worker of Culture of the Republic of Belarus. She stood at the origins of the founding of the Vetka Museum of Old Believers and Belarusian Traditions named after F. G. Shklyarov. She was its director for many years. Today, Halina Niachajeva is an encourager for the team of like-minded colleagues devoted to Museum Affairs. In addition, Halina Niachajeva is known as a poet and an artist, whose deeply philosophical creative activities combine research accuracy and bright symbolism.
