The opening of Mikalai Mishchanka’s solo-exhibition ‘Through the Perspective of Artistic Journey’ will be held in the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus at 5.00 p.m. on September 26, 2019. It is dedicated to the artist’s 70th birthday anniversary.

For many years of creative activity Mikalai Mishchanka has turned to various genres and methods of fine art. The master originated his inimitative style. The artist’s paintings and aquarelle landscapes are well-known in Belarus and abroad.

Mikalai Mishchanka is also engaged in plein-air. Over the last 15 years he has been the organizer and participant of international plein airs dedicated to the memory of the classics of landscape art by Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya, Vital Tsvirka, Valentin Sidorov.

Due to nature, the painter masterfully captures and conveys barely perceptible shades and tones on the canvas, which we do not catch in everyday life. Mikalai Mishchanka paints tender spring greens, the smell of a summer meadow, the fiery red color of autumn, silvery winter. The master depicts ‘emotional’ movement of the nature and makes realistic, simple, clear compositions.

The exhibition will feature about 40 paintings having been made by the artist over the past 15 years. Mikalai Mishchanka’s exhibition, presented at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus, is his artistic journey, testifying to the boundless dedication and devotion of the master to his craft.
