On 1 October 2026 at 5:00 PM the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus (20 Lenin Street; entrance at 24 Karl Marx Street, white hall) will host the opening reception of the exhibition “The Art of the Silk Road: The Soul of Craft, Reflections Above the Clouds. Chinese-Belarusian Art Exhibition”.
The People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus share a long history of friendship.
The audience will have an opportunity to view paintings by contemporary Chinese artists created using traditional techniques, as well as lacquer, metal, stone, ceramic and carved wood pieces. These artworks depict mythological characters and sacred objects, as well as symbolic and allegorical imagery, reflecting thousands of years of history and traditions.
Another important part of the display consists of artworks by contemporary Belarusian artists inspired by Chinese culture, representing a multifaceted synthesis of Eastern motifs and the Belarusian spirit.
Visitors will be invited to experience a friendly dialogue between two cultures grounded in tradition.
The exhibition features contemporary artists’ works of art from the People’s Republic of China and the Republic of Belarus, created using a variety of traditional techniques and materials.
“The Art of the Silk Road: The Soul of Craft, Reflections Above the Clouds. Chinese-Belarusian Art Exhibition” will be on view from 1 October to 30 October, 2026 (24 Karl Marx Street, Exhibition Building, third floor).
