On the eve of the Christmas holidays, the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus invites you to the charming exhibition of Valentina Shoba, the famous Grodno artist. The artist’s each work is filled with a mysterious beauty and magic of Christmas. Fairy tales, magic, mystical nature, Belarusian ornaments and decor – everything is reflected in the author’s works. The exhibition will feature about 50 graphic works by the artist. Most have been painted this year, especially for the exhibition at the National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus.
Valentina Shoba was born in Mozyr, Gomel Region. She finished the Republican Boarding School for Music and Fine Arts named after I. O. Akhremchik in 1982. She graduated from the Belarusian State Theater and Art Institute (now the Belarusian State Academy of Arts), the faculty of graphics, in 1989. She studied under such famous artists of Belarus as Vasil Sharangovich, a people’s artist and a professor, and Vladimir Savich, a professor. Valentina Shoba has been actively taking part in various exhibitions, creative projects and art plein airs both in Belarus and far beyond its borders since 1992. The artist has prepared more than 30 solo exhibitions in many cities of Belarus, Russia and Europe. Each time, when she displays a new creative project, Valentina surprises not only amateurs, but also fine art experts with her skill. Her solo exhibitions are always a cultural event for the public. They are widely publicized by the media and Internet resources.
