But blue is the colour of heaven, and in return, like a dream,
It grants the consciousness that asks a series of signs.
Many azure-joyful omens shine for us in daily life,
And though, like the blue Sea, the roads are far away,
“You will get through”, the flax tells you, all will be marked in Heaven,
“You will get through”, the eyes of children say, and the cornflowers whisper.

On 16 May 2026 from 7:00 PM to 1:00 AM the National Art Museum will be hosting the most anticipated event of the year – “The Night of Museums”.
Once a year, a night arrives when art comes alive, and the familiar halls of the museum transform into portals between distant eras. On this very night, we invite you to immerse yourselves in the most mysterious colour of the universe – BLUE. “BLUER THAN BLUE” is not just a theme, it’s an immersive journey into infinity: from deep twilight to celestial azure, from the mystery of ocean depths to the gliding shadows on famous artists’ canvases.
In visual arts, blue has transformed itself from the precious ultramarine of the Renaissance to the Infinity of Yves Klein and Marc Chagall’s Colour of Love.
The colour blue, as a powerful means of expression, fascinates not only artists but also art lovers, remaining a limitless source of inspiration.
With the entire colour spectrum at disposal, the Art Museum has also chosen blue as its signature shade – a symbol of trust, profoundness, tranquility and nobility. As the colour of the sky and water, blue is associated with infinity, permanence, and the connection between times. It is impossible not to recall our country’ visual brands – Belarus the blue-eyed, a land of rivers and lakes, flax and cornflowers.
When the Night of Museums comes, we’ll have so many reasons to talk about the colour blue, to feel it, and to hear it.
Get ready to see the world in all shades of sapphire and indigo!
