Artists usually travel with their sketchbooks in tow; numerous landscapes and drawings on display were created during journeys to picturesque places in the Soviet Union and other countries. Art proved indispensable in conveying impressions of foreign countries and their culture, architecture, nature, people and many other things that are so different from the one’s homeland and familiar way of life. Our display expands the definition of the term “holiday”, touching on both major historical events and private life circumstances that made our featured artists travel far from Belarusian land.
On display are artworks by many renowned Belarusian artists: Arkadz Astapovich, Ivan Akhremchyk, Vitold Byalynitsky-Birulya, Viktar Viarsotski, Yaugen Zaitsau, Yaugen Krasouski, Barys Malkin, Siargei Selikhanau, Uladzimir Stelmashonak and others.
